Message from Barabara Howe:
Painting as an artist enhances my life. It makes me more observant, and adds another dimension to my existence. My studio is my sanctuary. Painting transforms my mind into a trance-like state, so that I can intuitively develop a work that expresses my true spirit. By working as a painter, I am answering the call of my soul. I love to paint the adobe building, the mountains, the sunsets, the 3 diverse cultures, and the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico, my home for the last 25 years. My style could be described as mostly “expressionistic”, with an emphasis on line and color. I am a Signature Member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society, and have also received many honors and awards for my watercolors and acrylic paintings entered in judged and juried art-shows.
